President

J. Paul is a founding partner at Skilled Construction. He serves as the President and Head of Operations for the organization. J. Paul graduated from Texas Southern University in 1994 with B.S. in Economics. His previous roles include Chief Operating Officer for North Forest Independent School District as well as Chairman of the Board of Regents at his alma mater Texas Southern University. He spends his time outside of the office inspiring and helping the youth from the arts to athletics. He has helped several high school athletes obtain scholarships and go on to be first generation college graduates in their families.

Vice President

Julian Johnson is originally from Houston, Texas where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Texas Southern University. He also holds an MBA from Western Govern University with a focus in Management. He has extensive experience in preconstruction and business development. He is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators. Julian was also honored with a selection to the 2019 Young Leaders Program by the Urban Land Institute. His business administration background means he always keeps an eye on ROI and process improvement for the organization.

Executive Assistant

D’Nae Jules is from Houston, Texas. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Southern University with B.S. in Emergency Management & Homeland Security. As the Executive Assistant for the company, D’Nae wears many hats she has multiple years of administrative experience. In her spare time, she practices photography and enjoys working out. D’Nae loves dogs and also volunteers with the Houston Humane Society.

Lead Superintendent

Miguel Mora is a Houston, Texas native and has over 20 years of construction experience. As the lead superintendent Miguel is responsible for overseeing quality, safety, and schedule. He also serves as a mentor to new hires and assists them in attaining a greater understanding of the job requirements. Miguel handles preinstallation conferences with subcontractors and coordinates with owners representatives to complete job site punch list.

Field Engineer

Daniel Valdez is from Missouri City, Texas and was one of the first employees to be hired by Skilled Construction. His dedication and hard work boosted him to the position of Project Engineer in short order. He is an OSHA 30 certified employee and monitors site safety and ensures the wellbeing of all of our employees in addition to subcontractors. Daniel enjoys the various different things there are to learn in the construction industry and takes pride in seeing the projects he is involved in being completed.

Marketing Coordinator

Brielle Johnson is a Houston, Texas native. She graduated from Texas Southern University with a B.B.A in Marketing. She specializes in social media marketing, content creation, and brand management. Her artistic eye helps with her ability to display her creativity through her content creation. She is a member of the American Marketing Association and continues to implement the strategies she obtained whilst being in the association.

Project Manager

Melvin Jackson is the latest addition to our growing SCSU team. He graduated from Texas Southern University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and has over 20 years of Project Management experience. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting jazz albums, assisting the elderly, and watching tennis.
